Liberation For All of Us

A Political Education Training for Progressive Organizations

Queer and Trans Liberation as Collective Liberation

Attacks on trans and queer communities are on the rise; this training will explain why—and how all of our liberation is at stake. This training will unpack the ways that political violence against trans and queer people is foundational to a Christian nationalist right wing strategy that attacks all oppressed communities and makes us all less safe. We will look at how anti-trans oppression is inextricable from other systems of oppression, and how fighting back is crucial to all of our movements. Learn how to integrate a critical queer and trans lens into your work; shine a light on some of the often-hidden forces that attack, obstruct, and co-opt our liberation; and better understand the political landscape that impacts all of our lives.

“If you are looking for a well-facilitated, intersectional, up-to-the moment way to make sense of longstanding attacks against our interwoven communities, I highly recommend this training. It exposes connections between the far right, anti-queer attacks, colonialism, anti-trans repression, Zionism, racism, Christian nationalism, and neoliberalism. Not only that, facilitators uplifted ways we can resist and grow our solidarity.”

“This training is unique and exceptionally valuable because it starts from a place of shared understanding and takes off from there - because of this it is able to get to a higher/deeper level than any other similar trainings I've experienced.”

“This training was great! It was clear, participatory, and brought together historical context of Christian nationalism and LGBTQ+ movement history to look at where we are right now and what might be the path forward. It was deeply good to be in that processing space with other people grappling with this moment and what our role and work is. Thank you!”

“I loved being in this space - the training did a wonderful job of breaking down historical context and highlighting pathways for organizing. While the work feels heavy oftentimes, this training felt like a useful and energizing resource!”

“This training is essential to understand the historical and current context for our struggle -- the wider view --- and the here and now: how our liberation is interconnected.”

“This training does an amazing job presenting heavy topics in an accessible way, highlighting both the severity and also our capacity for change.”

“Terrific overview of the history of white Christian supremacy and how it shapes public discourse and policy, with ample time for reflection, discussion, and brainstorming.”
