Dismantling Antisemitism
Antisemitism is a core animating force of fascism, Christian nationalism, and white supremacy; it is also a contested concept that has been misused against the Left. This training will unpack the logic of antisemitism, its history, and how it currently functions in our political landscape. We will situate antisemitism in a broader context, as part of intersecting systems of oppression, examine some of the ways that it harms both Jews AND other marginalized groups—such as (Jewish and non-Jewish) BIPOC and trans people—and how it is used in the service of the Right’s divide and conquer strategy. Come untangle the often reactionary and convoluted narratives about antisemitism that disrupt and misdirect our organizing, and learn how to identify and challenge antisemitism to build resilient, interdependent movements.
“This training did an incredible job examining what antisemitism is without skating over the ways the concept has been weaponized by the right to harm movements. I highly recommend this training to anyone who wants to take a deeper dive into understanding the ways antisemitism, racism, and so many other forms of oppression are intersecting and perpetuated by white Christian nationalism.”

Who is this training for?
Dismantling Antisemitism is for any group that wants to understand antisemitism, how it functions, and how to challenge it; in particular:
groups that have been accused of antisemitism because of solidarity with Palestine, and want to understand what antisemitism actually is and how it functions;
groups that may be experiencing tension or fractures due to the conflation of antisemitism and anti-Zionism;
groups that want to expand their understanding of Christian hegemony and how it is connected to antisemitism;
groups that are invested in collective liberation, and want to include Jews and a commitment to working against antisemitism.
