Organizational Culture Audit
Organizational culture is the secret ingredient that makes organizations run smoothly and feel good. It is both an art and a science. It’s about equity, belonging, and power. It shapes how effective your work is, and how people feel about working together.
Organizational culture encompasses things like:
Our unspoken expectations about how we treat each other;
Who is “in” and who is “out”;
How we think about leadership and collaboration;
How we communicate with each other;
How we talk (and don’t talk) about hard things;
How we share and receive feedback;
How we handle conflict;
How we address harmful behavior;
How we respond in moments of crisis.
An organizational culture audit uses an equity framework to understand and assess an organization’s culture, identify key challenges, and provide guidance and support for positive growth. The process includes:
staff (and/or member) training,
one-on-one listening/coaching sessions
a live reportback and discussion of key themes and recommendations;
optional ongoing support; this could take the form of additional training, coaching, policy development, planning, etc.
